About me

A scientist’s perspective with a communicator’s expertise

My background spans more than a decade of biomedical research and scientific communications.

That experience allows me to approach communication from both sides: understanding how evidence is generated and interpreted, then shaping it for the people who need to engage with it.

Today, I help life science organisations turn complex science into content that’s accurate, clear, and genuinely enjoyable to read.

Common questions

What type of organisations do you work with?

I work with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, MedTech and other life science organisations, from funded startups to established international companies.

Most engagements involve medical/scientific affairs, scientific marketing, product communications or broader scientific communications support.

Which therapeutic areas do you cover?

My research background is in neuro-oncology and cancer biology, with additional communications experience spanning diagnostics and broader life science subject areas.

My extensive Medical Science PhD background allows me to take on new therapeutic areas and get up to speed on primary literature quickly.

For every new project, I review the relevant evidence and source materials in sufficient depth to communicate the subject accurately and confidently. If a project requires specialist expertise beyond my scope, I will say so.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes. Confidentiality agreements are standard practice, and I’m comfortable working within whatever terms your legal or compliance team requires.

Can you work within our internal review cycle process?

Yes — we build review cycles into the timeline from the start.

I’m used to revising against reviewer comments from medical, legal, and regulatory teams. Where MLR or compliance review is required, the content can be developed with traceability, claims support, and review requirements considered from the first draft.

Do you take ongoing work?

Yes. Retainer partnerships are available for organisations that require priority access and consistent scientific communications support.

Need a communicator who already understands complex science?

Let’s talk about your project. I typically respond within 24 hours.
